Hi! I’m Erica Lewin, artist and pet lover.
I have always enjoyed art. I grew up drawing and creating, and have continued to study art throughout my adult life.
Then that all just stopped. Life got in the way, responsibilities took over, and my art was put on the backburner.
But during the Covid lockdown of 2020, I found time to revisit my passions. There’s always a silver lining, right?
Rediscovering my love of art was exciting,
but it wasn’t until I created my first two pet portraits that I discovered my special place in this world.
Both my sister and a friend lost pets that year. Each was devastated, and I knew I wanted to do something special to help them remember their furry family members.
I sat down and turned my obsession with animals and love of mandalas and Zentangle into a unique work of art, I was blown away by the response.
My friend burst into tears of joy...I had brought her Bayla back.
My sister’s face lit up when she saw Carlie’s portrait. A few weeks later she had my design tattooed on her arm. What an honor!
I knew then that my artwork could bring smiles, comfort, and light to others experiencing the darkness of pet loss.
That’s when Erica Lewin Art was born.
I am honored every time I am chosen to create a new pet portrait. It’s a privilege to work with you to capture your pet’s essence in a way as unique as them.
